ISRO Regional Academic center for Space(RAC-S) at Patna:

I am very happy to say that ISRO has now decided to establish ISRO Regional Academic center for Space(RAC-S) at Patna.
This was announced by Dr. K.Shivan, chairman of the ISRO in New Delhi.

This was figured by all national media including Times of India.

This center is outcome of our sincere and serious effort taken by us from the past one year. I held several round of discussion with IESA officials before finalizing this center to be proposed at PATNA. We had also included this as outcome of 7th Bihar Science Conference 2018

IESA (India Electronics and Semiconductor Association under Ministry of Electronics and IT, Govt. of India i is the implementing Partner of this project. The chairman of IESA,, Sri Anil Muniswamy recently was invited in the 7th Bihar Science Conference 2018 held at College of Commerce, Arts and Science, Patna between 4-6 Dec 2018.

After the conference, the team of IESA visited several places in Patna, including Arybhatta Knowledge University, Patna University, BIT Patna and College of Commerce, Arts &Science, Patna who submitted their report to ISRO and its chairman. Later ISRO included to establish center in Patna as well as 11 other cities of India. .The venue is still undecided.

It may go to NIT Patna on the pattern of NIT Agartalla where they already established this center. Though we wanted to establish this center at Aryabhatta Knowledge University; A strong case has been presented before ISRO but decision is still pending.

But people of Bihar should be happy and should feel proud because such center of national importance is going to be established at Patna.
